According to the information on the technical transformation project of the E16 electric passenger car production line in the first plant of Changan Automobile's Liangjiang plant, the plant will adjust the product plan and add E16 models, and the project construction period is expected to be from July 2024 to October 2024. Combined with the officially announced fourth-quarter listing node, E16 may start production in October.

The E16 is shaped like a "small AVATR 12", without using 3 lidars, or will be equipped with the same 192-line single lidar as AVATR 07. The new car will also be equipped with Huawei's ADS 3.0, parking substitute driving, and magic carpet chassis.

It is expected that the E16 extended range version will be equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender + motor, matched with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries, and the pure electric range will be greater than 200km; The all-electric version is available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models, matched with CATL's lithium iron phosphate/ternary lithium battery, and the cruising range is expected to exceed 650km.
